The Art of Wine-Making

[Translate to Englisch:] The Heitlinger Wine Estate is backed by a vision which acknowledges the roots of the vintner’s craft and which lends it creative interpretation: Wine as an experience which tantalises the tongue and the palate and beyond. Here, the grapes from the top locations in the Kraichgau are meticulously crafted into innervating taste sensations.

The hillsides on each side of the green, the sun and the particular soil on the southern slopes above the wine village of Tiefenbach all work together to nurture grapes which, through a combination of traditional and modern wine-making methods, transform into an extraordinary Cuvée, Riesling, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris and  Pinot noir.

The Wine Cháteau in the Kraichgau

[Translate to Englisch:] Atop an outlying hill 280 metres high and with views to the Upper Rhine Valley, the mighty Burg Ravensburg castle holds court. Stretching along the foot of Sulzfeld’s landmark in north Baden are the sun-drenched vineyards belonging to the estate. With a wine history going back around 750 years, the wine-makers of Burg Ravensburg know how to extract from the grapes grown in these unique soils and climatic conditions truly exquisite top quality wines.

Tradition and Terroir
Surrounded by forests to the east and south and with the Stromberg nearby, the grapes on the slopes of Burg Ravensburg have been bathed in sun and well nourished for hundreds of years by the Gypskeuper, a marly, gypsum and dolomite-rich rock formation.

Sunny Locations and Great GrowthSteeped in tradition, the viticulture of Burg Ravensburg has produced harmoniously fruity Rieslings, elegant Pinots and velvety Lembergers (Blue Frankish). To round off the exquisite wine store are the full-bodied grapes from the VDP (Association of leading German wine estates) top locations.
